Odebrecht case to continue in January 2019

Hearings in the US$92 million bribes case involving the Brazilian construction company contracts in the Dominican Republic will continue in January 2019. Judge Francisco Ortega, set the case to reopen on 23 January 2019, with the readings of the charges. The Attorney General has presented formal charges against: former presidents of the Senate Andres Bautista and Jesus Vasquez, former Public Works Minister Victor Díaz Rua; Odebrecht commercial representative Angel Rondon; lawyer Conrado Pittaluga; former director of Inapa, Juan Roberto Rodriguez; and senator Tommy Galan.
