
On Monday 10 December 2018, First Lady Candida Montilla broke ground for the construction of a Center for Infants with Disabilities in Punta Cana. She was accompanied by the Minister for Public Health, Rafael Sánchez, the director of he National Health Service, Chanel Rosa Chupany and the president of the Puntacana Group Foundation, Frank Rainieri.
The center will provide specialized attention for children up to 12 years old with Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and learning difficulties, with therapeutic intervention integrated with the family and the community.
