According to the president of the National Commission of Human Rights, Manuel María Mercedes, there have been at least 115 extra judicial executions so far this year, and called on the head of the National Police, General Ney Aldrín Bautista to do something about it. The information came from a study that covered issues such as health, citizen safety, rights of women and children and the LGBTIQ population. The study showed that 86.3% of the population thinks that are others who should be charged in the Odebrecht bribe case, and that 16.7% of the population have suffered a robbery in the last year.
