Air Century announced the start on 13 December 2018 of their direct flights to Havana, Cuba on Thursdays and Sundays. The airline will be using two modern Bombardier CRJ200 jets with capacity for 50 passengers to serve this Caribbean route, announced Omar Chahin Lima, CEO of the company. He said the plan is to consolidate the La Isabela International Airport (JBQ) in northern Santo Domingo as a Caribbean hub to allow for easy connections to the cities they serve in Puerto Rico, Haiti, St. Maarten, Aruba and Curacao.
