
The National Drug Control Agency (DNCD) seized 108 packages of cocaine on the coast in the province of Barahona. The DNCD, together with support from the sea, air and ground forces, carried out the operation off the coast of San Rafael in the municipality of Paraiso, and followed the occupants of the boat which was presumable abandoned. During the operation, four men were arrested, three Dominicans and a Colombian and other gang members are being sought.
In another case, 10 packages of cocaine were found in a suitcase at the International Airport of Las Americas and the security cameras are being checked to establish the owner of the suitcase.
