The boiler of the vehicle oil recycling plant, Cerantra, in Nuevo Horizonte of Los Alcarrizos, Santo Domingo West, exploded on Monday, 14 January 2019 at around 3pm, killing two, and injuring four persons. The victims were identified as 32-year old Juan Manuel Aracena, who died on the site, and 48-year old Francisco Suero who died when taken by ambulance to the Dr. Ney Arias Lora Trauma Hospital. The injured are 24-year old Franklin Martinez Romero, 51 year old Freddy Antonio Peña, 48-year old Rodolfo Fuente and 36-year old Agustin Lunquer who were interned at the Dr. Ney Arias Lora Trauma Hospital.
