Young talents are coming together on Saturday, 2 February and Sunday, 3 February 2019 for the presentation of Santo Domingo Pop on the grounds of the National Botanical Gardens in Santo Domingo. As of 3pm, the arts festival opens to educate, entertain, promote and preserve the identity of Dominicans. Santo Domingo Pop is described as a celebration of Dominican talent.
On the program are performances by singers Riccie Oriach, Covi Quintana, Mark B, Víctor Víctor, La Marimba, Solo Fernández and Rando Camasta. Poteleche, Norca Amézquita and Angurria promises surprises with their graphic art; and Wifredo García, Alejandro Núñez, Roger Zayas and Hilda Pellerano will do so through photography exhibitions. An exhibit of 18 photogarphy by Wilfredo García is scheduled for the Centro Leon in Santiago at the same time.
There will be theater presented in works by Lía Briones and Shei Lee; dance with Joel Rodríguez, María Emilia García and Eliosmayquer Orozco Garbey; and literature in the voices of Pedro Genaro, Miguel Yarull, Alexis Méndez, Anya Damirón and Kenya Roque.
There will be a showing of outstanding plastic art works, part of the collection of the Customs Agency, Guillo Pérez and Lizander Jiménez.
