Dominican London Olympics silver medallist Luguelin Santos is preparing for his two most important commitments this year — the Pan Am Games in Lima, Peru (26 July – 11 August 2019) and the IAAF World Championships in Doha, Qatar from 28 September to 6 October 2019. His coach Jose Ludwig Rubio announced the preparatory competitions leading to these competitions.
Santos has won two silver medals in the Pan Am Games 2011 (one in the relay) but still has to win a gold in the important regional competition. In the world athletics championship, he won bronze in Moscow 2013.
His trainer says he will be preparing with competitions in:
2 February in Karlruhe, Germany.
6 February in Torun, Poland
8 February in Madrid, Spain
16 February in Birmingham, England
20 February in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Luguelin Santos trains in Bahrain, where his coach works with other athletes of the Dominican national team.
