The Army is enforcing additional measures to combat gasoline and diesel contraband to Haiti. Major General Estanislao Gonell Regalado said that Defense Minister Ruben Dario Paulino Sem ordered enhanced security measures on the border. Haiti at present is suffering from a fuel scarcity. Searches are intensified in vehicles crossing the border to ensure these are not illegally trafficking in fuel.
