Within one hour of having taken off from Santo Domingo on route to Newark, New Jersey in the USA, JetBlue flight 1204 had returned.
The pilot of JetBlue flight 1204 aborted the Monday, 25 February 2019 flight carrying out an emergency landing at the Santo Domingo airport within an hour of takeoff. The pilot reported damage to the airplane’s hydraulic landing system. On board were 158 passengers. The flight had departed at 12:06pm and returned at 1:06pm.
At the airport, the emergency plan with all the established protocols was activated to receive the aircraft that was able to land without incident.
