The Department of Investigations into Human Trafficking of the National Police has arrested a supposed witch doctor who was being sought for defrauding a man of RD$5 million promising to multiply his money. The arrested man is Haitian Manel Dorancy (alias “Manuel”), aged 31, who was arrested in Santo Domingo North.
He was being sought for violations of the Penal Process Code, by defrauding Enerio Ramos Díaz, as he promised to multiply his RD$5 million. After receiving the money, the accused disappeared along with the money. Dorancy is currently being held at the Prosecutor’s office in Monte Plata where the crime was committed.
