The Dominican Armada has announced that they have stopped three illegal sea voyages to Puerto Rico in the last 24 hours and arrested nine people including two from Honduras. The arrests were made in operations carried out in Baoba del Piñal, María Trinidad Sánchez province; Playa Bonita and Playa Rincón in Samaná province. Those arrested were taken to the Naval Intelligence headquarters for investigation. In addition to the arrests, three boats, outboard engines and gasoline were confiscated.
Vice Admiral Recio Segura warned that operations would continue across the country to avoid loss of life at sea.
