
To expedite flights, United Airlines airport ticket counters are no longer accepting cash. Only credit and debit cards are being received for ticketing, baggage and onboard charges.
United accepts payment with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Diners Club cards. The move follows a generalized trend in the airline industry and responds to passenger desires for speed, convenience and safety.
Cash payments are still accepted for ticketing and baggage charges at United Airlines offices in Santo Domingo. Nevertheless, those wanting to pay in cash can still do so at one of two Santo Domingo offices. Baggage payments are only accepted 24 hours before the flight.
United Airlines offices are located at In Tempo – Churchill building on Av. Máximo Henríquez Ureña corner Av. Winston Churchill (open Monday to Friday from 9am to 7pm) and Megacentro in eastern Santo Domingo (open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 8pm, and Sundays and holidays from 10am to 6pm).
United Airlines flies from Newark International to Las Americas International Airport (SDQ) in Santo Domingo, Puerto Plata International Airport (POP) and Punta Cana International (PUJ). The airline also serves Chicago International (ORD) from Punta Cana.
