
According to Alejandro Montas, director of the Santo Domingo Corporation of Aqueducts and Sewers (CAASD), and
Agriculture Minister Osmar Benítez says that fresh produce supply is still adequate.
The dams of Hatillo and Valdesia-Jigüey-Aguacate and the reservoir Las Barías are the only ones operating at normal levels. Almost out of service are the aqueducts of Haina-Manoguayabo, La Isabela, Isa Mana and Duey that supply water to Greater Santo Domingo.
