Vaccination campaign in Santiago

The Dominican Journalists Guild (CDP) Santiago de los Caballeros chapter and the regional office of the Ministry of Public Health have combined efforts for a vaccination campaign against diphtheria, tetanus and influenza. According to Lisa Gonzalez, a member of the board of the CDP branch, told reporters that the reach of the campaign is CDP members and the community in general.

The campaign is taking place at the offices of the CSP in the Villa Olimpica just of Av. Estrella Sahdalá.

In the light of recent events in Oregon where one non-vaccinated child spread measles to 21 others, vaccinations are currently in the public eye. Facebook has removed bogus anti-vaccination accounts from its pages and children have defied their parents and obtained their vaccinations.
