48-year old Frenchman Sebastien Fabrice Derriot was arrested in Puerto Plata. He was detained at Calle Almendra in Residencial Procab in Cabarete. The arrest came after the Supreme Court of Justice issued an arrest order in response to a request from a court in France. The Frenchman is accused in France of money laundering, criminal association and other crimes.
The DNCD said the order of arrest had been issued for months and it was only now that he was located. He will be soon be extradited based on Law 284-04, which does not admit to Dominican territory foreigners with criminal records.
