
The National Council of the Magistracy (CNM) has begun the assessment interviews of the 78 candidates for positions in the Supreme Court of Justice. The interviews are set for the 27th, 28th, and 29th of March 2019 at the Presidential Palace. The interviews are being streamed live.
Present at the meeting where this was decided were CNM members President Danilo Medina, Supreme Court of Justice judge Fran Soto, Senate president Reinaldo Pared Perez; Chamber of Deputies president Radhamés Camacho; president of the Supreme Court of Justice Mariano Germán; PRM senator José Ignacio Paliza; PRM deputy Josefa Castillo. Also participating was lawyer Flavio Darío Espinal, who is the legal advisor to the Executive Power and technical advisor to the CNM.
The first 26 candidates were assessed on Wednesday, 27 March.
