Six polling companies have registered with the Central Electoral Board (JCE) as required by new Electoral Regime Law 15-19. Political Parties Law 33-18 now allows for political parties participating in the 2020 general elections to choose their candidates by polling.
The companies are Mark Penn, Asisa Research, Consultores Estratégicos de Marketing, Investigaciones RD, Sigma Dos and Newlink Dominicana.
The JCE now needs to determine whether the companies are authorized to carry out the polls.
