In its 7th version, AgroAlimentaria 2019 will again be the most important food tradeshow presented in the Dominican Republic. The show is scheduled for 8 to 11 May 2019 at the Dominican Fiesta Hotel across from the Mirador del Sur Park.
The exhibition is a business-to-business event that seeks to connect local producers with exporters. Some 200 buyers from 35 countries are scheduled to meet up to do business. But it is also open to the general public that will be able to get an insider look at what the country’s farm and agribusiness companies produce. There will be exhibitions of bananas, mangos, coconuts, bell peppers, tomatoes, cacao, pineapple, and all sorts of fruit and vegetables. The rum and cigar industries also are scheduled to have lead participations.
The event is organized by the Dominican Agribusiness Board (Junta Agroempresarial Dominicana – JAD), the largest farm and agribusiness organization in the country. The event also has the backing of the Center for Export and Investment (CEI-RD). George Mansfield is the president of the organizing committee for AgroAlimentaria 2019.
