Camilo García said that this is a new record in passenger numbers arriving and departing during the first quarter of the year.

The highest number of passengers was handled by Punta Cana International Airport, followed by Las Americas (Santo Domingo), Cibao International (Santiago), Puerto Plata, La Romana, El Catey in Samaná and finally La Isabela in Santo Domingo.

The largest increase for the first three months of the year was at Las Americas International Airport, with an increase of 26,646 passengers for an increase of 8.6%.

Camilo Garcia said that one of the reasons for the increase was the arrival of new Airlines, with 32 new aviation agreements signed during the time in office of President Danilo Medina.
