City Mayor David Collado named José Luis Frometa Herasme as the new chief of the firefighters for the National District. He replaces colonel Rafael del Rosario. Frometa who had been deputy chief for years. He has more than 30 years in the corps.
Collado also named Ricardo Koening Levy as deputy chief, and Aurelio Rodriguez Serrano was named chief of operations. Businessman Kai Shoenhals Garcia was appointed secretary of the business firefighters support group. The support group is presided by businessmen Jose Luis Corripio Estrada. The members are Juan Vicini, Ligia Bonetti, Hector Jose Rizek, Carlos Marti and Jeff Rannik among other business people. The group is active in seeking investment in equipment for each of the National District fire stations.
