
The Central Electoral Board (JCE) announced that Digiworld SRL was selected as the supplier of the new equipment for the installation of automated voting systems.
The company won tender JCE-CCC-LPI-01-2019 and will supply 55,000 machines for a total cost of US$19,943,000. Other participating companies were IQtek Solutions, Prodacom, Mixcorp, Multicomputos and Omega Tech.
Digiworld, SRL will supply 11,000 equipment to identify voters; 11,000 automated voting equipment, 11,000 thermal receipt printers (sales points); 11,000 barcode readers; 11,000 portable inverters.
The JCE has said the electronic devices will be used in the primaries scheduled for 6 October 2019, in time to test the equipment for the 2020 general elections.
