The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) says a weather front is approaching the east of the country and the effects will be felt by Monday, 3 June 2019. The rains will occur in the northeast, north, central mountain area and part of the border zone as the stormy weather moves west. Onamet nevertheless says the summer heat will continue.
For Wednesday, the weather front will cause instability in the local atmosphere and clouds will increase, especially in the afternoon, causing moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms. This will occur in the northeast, southeast, southwest, north, central mountain area, border zone and parts of Greater Santo Domingo.
