Officials of the National Drug Control Agency (DNCD) have confiscated 40 pounds of marijuana and arrested a man and a woman who were travelling through the checkpoint at kilometer 15 in the province of Azua. The authorities were carrying out an operation on the Sanchez Highway and intercepted an SUV where they found the drugs hidden under the vehicle at the back. Also confiscated were several cell phones, a suitcase containing jewelry and the vehicle.
