A recent poll by the National Ground Transport and Transit Institute (Intrant) reveals that around 50% of the population use public transport. The conclusion comes from the Permanent Observatory of Road Safety (Observatorio Permanente de Seguridad Vial – Opsevi). Intrant says that a poll carried out by the Agencia Francesa de Desarrollo in Greater Santo Domingo reveals that only 30% of Greater Santo Domingo population uses public transport every day.
