The Metro Office (OPRET) has announced that service on the Santo Domingo Teleferico was affected between the stations of Gualey and Sabana Perdida, due to an error in the control system. The problem began on Monday, 15 July 2019 at 7:09 am and again at 8:09 am. Service was resumed around 20 minutes later, Opret reported.
The Opret press release says the passengers were evacuated, according to the protocol for a situation of this nature. But these would board shortly after.
