Beijing Royal Fighters of the China Basketball Association has contracted 24-year old Angel Delgado for a season of play. As reported by journalist Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Chinese team had originally offered US$2.4 million. But when the Oklahoma City Thunder offered a better deal, the Chinese team doubled its bid to lure Delgado.
The 6’10 basketball player was named Novice of the Year of the NBA G-League. He competed for the Agua Caliente Clippers. Former NBA All-Star and CBA legend Stephen Marbury; and former NBAers Pierre Jackson and Shavlik Randolph played for the team last season.
Delgado has been a member of the national basketball team since 2015.
