DR wins three gold in Pan Am karate competition

Karate athletes Tanya Rodríguez and Pamela Rodríguez delivered gold for the Dominican Republic on the final day of the Pan Am Games. Tanya was the winner of the -68 kg category facing Chilean Susana Li. Pamela defeated Venezuelan Omaira Molina in the +68kg category.

Karate was the sport to add the most gold medals. Earlier, the country won gold in Kata, with Maria Dimitrova, Franchel Velásquez and Sasha Serena Rodríguez. The women gave a lecture in balance, synchronicity, coordination, technique, innovation and strength in their gold-winning event.

María Dimitrova had won the silver medal in her solo event.
