
The Dominican Republic’s Juander Santos was on course for gold when he entered the final 100m with a clear advantage in the men’s 400m hurdles final. The pressure seemed to have gotten to him on the final hurdle when he sprawled across the track. The 24-year old is the younger brother of Olympic silver medalist Luguelín Santos.
Fellow team member Yancarlos Martínez won bronze in the 200 m.
