
Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts announces the company plans to contribute to enhancing the ecotouristic potential of the northeastern province of Samaná.
“Our strategic proposal responds to the main environmental needs that exist in the area, such as waste management, involving local actors to be the catalysts of change to allow the differentiation and positioning of the destination as a biodiverse, clean and sustainable place,” says Pablo del Toro, head of environmental management at Grupo Piñero, the Bahía Príncipe parent company.
Grupo Piñero is collaborating with the German Development Cooperation, GIZ, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Environment of the Dominican Republic to implement the biodiversity awareness programs in the hotels and public schools in Samaná.
