
Nearly 4,500 counterfeit LG and Asus smartphones shipped from the Dominican Republic were seized by US Customs and Border Protection in Philadelphia, USA.
Officers seized the first shipment of 2,043 LG phones on 26 July, and the second shipment of 1,926 LG and 480 Asus phones on 9 August. Both shipments had traveled from China through the Dominican Republic before arriving to the United States.
Both shipments were manifested as “used cell phones” and will now be destroyed.
