The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) is forecasting rains and thunderstorms will continue. A passing trough combining with remnants of a tropical wave has created the conditions for heavy rains. Onamet declared a green alert for the provinces of Monte Plata, Sánchez Ramírez, Duarte, María Trinidad Sánchez, Samaná and Hato Mayor. Residents in high-risk areas need to take precautions to avoid damages from flooding. Highs will be from 33-35ºC, and lows from 24-26ºC.
