The Ministry of Sports (Miderec) announced the National University Sports Games will be held 19 to 29 September 2019. 30 universities have entered their athletes in 13 sports. The competitions will be in chess, track and field, basketball, basketball 3×3, futsal, judo, karate, taekwondo, tennis, table tennis, volleyball and beach volleyball. The announcement was made by Minister Danilo Díaz and Deputy Minister in charge of university sports, Marcos Díaz.
