Surgeon Ivan de Jesús Minaya Taveras, 32, and his bride of five months Hilda María Báez Tactuk, 32, died on the road to Jarabacoa in La Vega province. A tree fell on their vehicle, a Kia K5, killing the couple and seriously injuring Minaya’s sister, Aura, who was traveling in the back seat.
