Another arrest in the Cesar Emilio Peralta (El Abusador) case

The authorities arrested Rafael Reyes, head of the VIP Room discotheque, when he arrived in the country from Holland at Las Americas International airport. The disco is the former Neon and is located on the premises of the former Hotel Hispaniola on Av. Independencia in Santo Domingo.

Reyes was arrested by Migration authorities at Las Americas International Airport. He is impeded to leave the country for supposedly being linked to the drug-dealing network headed by César “El Abusador” Emilio Peralta. He was in possession of a Dutch passport at the time of his arrest.

The VIP Room discotheque was raided and closed by the Public Prosecution Service on 20 August this year. Reyes is on the list of fugitives for his supposed links to the Cesar Emilio Peralta drug dealing and money laundering network.

The Prosecution Agency has arrested 15 people in connection with the case, 12 of whom have been given different coercive measures.
