Dominicans returning from overseas

Dominicans who have been living illegally in the United States and Puerto Rico have returned voluntarily in massive numbers this year. More than half of these are women. In addition to the United States and Puerto Rico, the Dominicans are returning from Panama, Venezuela, Saint Martin, Martinique, Guadalupe, Chile, Argentina, France, Spain and other European countries. However, the majority have come from Puerto Rico, to where many arrived by illegal boat trips. Others in Venezuela, Panama and Spain were there having overstayed their legal stay.
