Late last week, President Danilo Medina named Ramón Antonio Pepín del Rosario Minister of Public Works in Decree 317-19. Pepín replaces Gonzalo Castillo, who is now campaigning to be the presidential candidate for the ruling party primary to be held 6 October 2019.
Pepin had been the deputy minister and acting minister ever since Castillo resigned on 5 August 2019. Pedro Peña Rubio, another deputy minister, will take on Pepín’s old job.
