Santiago business calls for better roads and ports in the North

The president of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce and Production cut the tape to open the 2019 Expo Cibao at the city’s Central Park located on the grounds of the old airport in Santiago. Expo Cibao took place over the weekend. News reports estimate 100,000 persons visited the stands and RD$250 million in transactions were made. Expo Cibao gathered over 150 companies.

Carlos Hernandez, the Chamber president, said that the country requires an efficient highway system that connects the Cibao more efficiently. He also called for massive improvements for Manzanillo and Puerto Plata ports on the north coast.
