
Most board members resigned at the Unapec, a long-standing private university, known for its business programs and other education initiatives. A report in Acento reveals that 11 board members resigned.
As explained, the board members did not agree with the extension of the term of rector Franklyn Holguín Haché. A new board is in the making, under Dr. Hipólito Herrera Pellerano. Herrera needs to be confirmed by the university assembly in October 2019.
The resigning board members are Justo Pedro Castellanos Khoury, Cynthia Teresa Vega, José Alfredo Corripio, Pilar Haché, Aura Celeste Fernández, Isabel Morillo, Humberto Sangiovanni, Cristina Bonetti, Raymi Mejía, Rodolfo Soto Ravelo and Tomás Pérez-Ducy.
