The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) has warned of heavy rains a tropical wave that is moving over the country from the East may bring 16-17 September 2019. The showers are expected mostly in the northeast, southeast, central mountain range and the frontier area and will move to Greater Santo Domingo and other regions of the country, including the north.
Hot summer temperatures will continue, nevertheless, with highs of 33ºC to 35ºC and minimums of 24ºC to 26 ºC forecast for Greater Santo Domingo.
