
The Ministry of Energy & Mines of the Dominican Republic signed a memorandum of bilateral cooperation in nuclear energy with the Russian state atomic energy corporation, Rosatom.
According to the Russians, the document establishes guidelines cooperation in the development of nuclear energy in the country.
Besides, the parties are looking to develop information programs for the population regarding nuclear technology as well as on the use of radioisotopes and radioactive technology in industry, agriculture and medicine.
