The Central Electoral Board (JCE) announced extended service hours at voter registration offices abroad as of 16 September 2019. The offices will now be open from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm. On Saturdays, the offices will be open from 9 am to 2 pm in the Americas. In Europe, offices will be open on Saturdays from 1 pm to 7 pm. The extension is to give Dominican expats more time to register to vote in the 2020 general elections.
