Agriculture Minister Osmar Benítez says that the People’s Republic of China has cleared mango, avocado, pineapple, banana and cigars exports. Benítez says this is a challenge for Dominican producers. Maritime transport via the Panama Canal has yet to be secured. From there it would be 15 days to China. Benítez spoke when participating in the “Milagros desde la Z” radio talk show on Z101.3FM.
