Romeo Santos, “The King of Bachata,” announces Christmas will come early to the Dominican Republic. The ultra-popular singer announces 15 free concerts in the National District and provinces as of 15 November. He is naming the campaign, “The Tour of the People” (La Gira del Pueblo).
According to the bachatero, his presentations will be a gift for his public, a way to return the affection and support received from the Dominican people, to those who have not been able to enjoy his concert before.
Romeo Santos just recently performed to a historic full house at the Met Life Stadium in New Jersey on Saturday, 21 September 2019.
Santos has not announced the itinerary. Grupo Telemicro, Channel 5 is working on the coordination. Among the venues is the Felix Sanchez Olympic Stadium at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center in Santo Domingo where Romeo Santos has performed many times to a full house.
The announcement of the Dominican tour comes at a time when the candidates for the 2020 municipal, congressional and presidential elections are immersed into the campaigning.
