
Only five senators tracked 100 work hours on committees from 16 August to 26 July 2019, as reported in Diario Libre. These are Rafael Calderón (172:30 hours), José Rafael Vargas (172:10 hours), Charles Mariotti Tapia (170:40 hours), Arístides Victoria Yeb (111:30 hours and Santiago Zorrilla (104:40 hours). The senators make RD$320,000 base salary, plus much more in benefits and other payments. The normal workweek of Dominicans is 44 hours a week.
The senators with the best attendance record are: Amarilis Santana (55), Aristides Victoria Yeb (54), Rafael Calderón and Luis Rene Canaan (54), Cristina Lizardo (52).
Senators presenting the most excuses to be absent are: Tommy Galán (36), Heinz Vieluf Cabrera (29), Felix Bautista and Amable Aristy (23), Sonia Mateo (21), Felix Vásquez (20), Luis Rene Canaan (15), Reinaldo Pared Pérez (12), Manuel Guichardo and Pedro Alegría (11).
