Presidential pre-candidate for the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) Hipólito Mejía tweeted an announcement of the support of National District Mayor David Collado to his candidacy. “We receive with pleasure the team of mayor David Collado that joins the work to consolidate the win of the H2O),” said Mejía who was President of the Republic from 2000 to 2004.
Most polls show Luis Abinader defeating Hipólito Mejía in the primary scheduled for 6 October 2019.
