Punta Cana is scheduled to have its own theme park by the end of 2020. The Katmandu Punta Cana is the result of the partnership between Falcon’s Creative Group and Katmandu Group, the minds behind Katmandu Park in Mallorca, Spain. The Spanish theme park was recently voted the best amusement park in Mallorca and the #2 amusement park in Spain by TripAdvisor.
Falcon’s has said the new park will feature a Quest for the Multiverse, and a Suspended Theater, and a flying theater that moves riders through a fantasy realm.
Falcon’s says it will also develop a cutting-edge dark ride based on “The Legend of Katmandu.” Guests will be able to enjoy 36 holes of mini golf at the Expedition Golf, featuring themed holes winding around a mountainous Nepalese landscape. Additional plans include numerous interactive rides, theater-based attractions, and a multi-story ninja playground filled with climbing nets and obstacle courses.
