
On Monday, 30 September 2019 the Attorney General’s office postponed a press briefing called for that same day on the results of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) toxicology studies performed on tourists who died at the Bahia Principe resort and at other Dominican Republic properties in the past year.
In a statement, government officials said the press conference was postponed because “the results from the FBI only came in partially.” They said that they apologized for the delay but once they had complete information, they would reveal the data.
In June, the US Embassy in Santo Domingo had said the FBI toxicology analysis and results “might take up to 30 days.”
