
President Danilo Medina named Josué Antinoe Fiallo as the new Dominican permanent representative at the OAS by Decree 342-19.
He removed Gedeón Santos who had been in the position since 2016. Gedeón Santos was director of the Dominican Telecommunications Institute (Indotel), prior to his appointment to the OAS.
Former President Leonel Fernández has asked for the OAS support in his challenge to the results of the automated vote count.
