The Ministry of the Interior and Police (MIP) has granted an administrative period of grace to renew licenses to carry and own firearms. The grace period began yesterday, 22 October and runs until 30 November 2019.
Those who have licenses that expired within the last two to three years will only pay the fee for one year. Those with four or more years since expiration will pay the price for two years. Permits that expired for over seven years will pay only the fee for three years.
Those holding firearms with no license are subject to sanctions, which include the confiscation of the weapon.
